The basic version of the Luscombe 8 aircraft allows you to place only two people in your cabin, but in addition, the aircraft is also designed to carry a small amount of cargo with a total mass of up to 240 kilograms (taking into account the pilot's and passenger's own weight). Subsequently, with the advent of modified versions, the cargo capacity of the aircraft greatly increased, which made the operation of the aircraft more efficient. Thanks to the presence of twin controls, the aircraft was used in civil and military aviation and for training future pilots, which was also in demand in connection with the outbreak of World War II.

The power plant of the Luscombe 8 aircraft is represented by the Continental A-50 four-cylinder aircraft engine (depending on the version), capable of developing a traction power of 50 hp. (the basic version of the aircraft), which in turn made it possible to fly at speeds up to 170 km / h, and cover distances up to 765 kilometers. In the future, more powerful aircraft engines were installed on the aircraft of this model, in connection with which the flight performance indicators significantly increased and became more acceptable for the owners.
