The American Manta unmanned aerial vehicle perfectly combines multifunctionality, compactness and low cost, which makes this aircraft very popular not only in the USA, but also in other countries. In fact, an unmanned aerial vehicle can be used to perform reconnaissance, patrol and observation flights, to be used for tasks related to aerial photography, aerial surveying and monitoring of the terrain, and this applies to both civil and military areas.

Due to its compact design, and the length of the Manta unmanned aerial vehicle is only 1 meter 90 centimeters, with the wingspan of 2 meters 10 centimeter, the device has a very good aerodynamic component, which has a favorable effect on the maneuverability and controllability of this aircraft. Nevertheless, the device has enough weight - the mass of the empty aircraft is 20,4 kilograms, which allows launching the UAV only by using a special catapult, or by dispersing over the runway.

As a means of monitoring and surveillance, unmanned air vehicle on two types of cameras used Manta - electro-optical high-resolution camera and an infrared camera that allows the operation of the drone in the day, yet at night.

The power plant is represented by one UAV two-cylinder piston engine, which allows the device to accelerate to a maximum speed of flight in 200 km \ h., At the same time, the maximum duration of stay in the autonomous air is 9 hours, which is quite effective.
