The Minsk Automobile Plant continues to expand its supply geography and strengthen industrial cooperation internationally. As part of a joint project with the Ganja Automobile Plant, 70 MAZ chassis kits were delivered to Azerbaijan. The delivery was completed within a tight timeframe and is part of a systematic effort to develop partnerships between the two countries' companies.
The project is being built on a cooperative model: MAZ is manufacturing and shipping the chassis, while the Azerbaijani side is installing the specialized equipment.
Combining competencies and developing localization
The cooperation between MAZ and the Ganja Automobile Plant demonstrates the effectiveness of industrial cooperation. The Belarusian side provides a reliable platform—a chassis with a robust frame structure, high load capacity, and a versatile layout—while the Azerbaijani partners adapt the equipment to the specific needs of municipal services.
This model allows:
• combine production competencies,
• speed up the production of equipment,
• strengthen technological potential,
• create a product that is in demand in the real sector of the economy.
MAZ chassis are traditionally used as a base for garbage trucks, municipal and special equipment due to their reliability and adaptability to various superstructures.
International Strategy and Service Support
The Minsk Automobile Plant is the flagship of the Belarusian automotive industry. The company produces approximately 500 models and modifications of vehicles, including flatbed and all-wheel drive trucks, dump trucks, tractor units, chassis, special-purpose vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers, and passenger vehicles.
While expanding exports, MAZ is simultaneously building a well-developed after-sales service system. Partner structures operate in key markets, providing service and supplying components. In Russia, the official dealer MAZ spare parts is the company "TK AR Group", which guarantees prompt supply of original components and support for the operation of the equipment.
Having a sustainable service infrastructure increases brand trust and makes cooperation projects more effective, as customers receive not only equipment but also long-term support.
Prospects for the development of cooperation
The delivery of 70 vehicle kits is an important step in strengthening industrial cooperation between Belarus and Azerbaijan. This format of cooperation opens up opportunities for further deliveries of chassis and specialized equipment, as well as for expanding the product line to meet the needs of the regional market.
The Minsk Automobile Plant demonstrates its ability to implement large-scale international projects quickly and adapt its products to the requirements of its international partners.
