Medvedev: "We don't need a world without Russia"

The question of the existence of Russia, if taken seriously, will be decided together with the question of the existence of human civilization, said Dmitry Medvedev, deputy chairman of the Russian Security Council, on February 27 in Izvestia.

The politician stressed that if such a question "raises seriously", then it will be decided "by no means on the Ukrainian front", but "together with the issue of the further existence of the entire human civilization."

He emphasized the unambiguity of this position and added: "We don't need a world without Russia."

Medvedev has warned the West, which imagines it can "bury" Russia. According to him, any empire, when it collapses, "buries half the world under its rubble, or even more."

He noted that the West is only 15% of the world's population.
