The film, based on true events, tells the story of the heroism of the French pilots who fought during the Second World War on the side of the Soviet Union.

In various ways running from the Vichy regime and at the call of General De Gaulle, having joined the troops of "Fighting France", the Normandy pilots in the autumn of 1942 are sent to the Soviet Union. The trainings of the formed air regiment are associated with severe weather conditions and poor knowledge of the Yak-1 fighter aircraft. Making annoying mistakes at first, French pilots still manage to tame Soviet equipment. Taking direct part in the Battle of Kursk, the Belorussian operation, the liberation of East Prussia, the Normandy air regiment will gain honor and respect at the Headquarters of the Supreme High Command of the Soviet Union.

The entire film is permeated with the spirit of patriotism and heroic resistance of the French pilots ...
