Weapons of South Korea came to Ukraine, despite the ban on re-export

Seoul refused to supply weapons to Ukraine, despite this, its developments got there through Poland, writes The New York Times.

It is reported that in 2022, South Korea concluded a deal with Poland for the supply of tanks, MLRS, howitzers, fighter jets for a total of $12,4 billion.

And although Seoul prohibits re-export, Poland handed over its howitzers to Kyiv AHS Krab, which were installed on the chassis from the South Korean K9.

The Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Korea refused to answer journalists' questions about whether Seoul knew about the transfer of weapons.

In addition, South Korea began selling artillery shells to the United States, the stocks of which have seriously decreased against the backdrop of assistance to Ukraine.
