Rearmament in the ranks of the US Air Force. How to be and what to expect?

Within a month, news regularly comes from the United States that the air forces of this country intend to radically rearm in the near future. Experts assume that this is due not so much to the activity of Russia, but to the obsolescence of the aircraft used, which can no longer fulfill the assigned tasks so effectively.

Originally, it was reported that the active phase of the testing of the new low-profile LRS-B nuclear bomber, developed for nearly a decade by such companies as Lockheed Martin and Boeing, began in the United States. According to some unofficial data, since the project is still a secret, information resource Avia.pro became aware that the aircraft will be able to carry on its board two nuclear charges of several kilotons, while the aircraft can be controlled not only by the pilot, but also Autonomously, which in its essence gives all chances to operate a new bomber without any risk to the pilot.

According to preliminary data, the wingspan of the unobtrusive bomber is about 24 meters, and the aircraft should occupy an intermediate position between the unobtrusive version of the UCLASS deck unmanned vehicle and the strategic B-2 bomber. Nevertheless, domestic specialists call the development of American aircraft builders "a waste of money from the US budget," since, with the exception of the reduced dimensions of the aircraft, there are no innovations in the flight technical and strategic plans - the "Stealth" system used here is easy Recognized for Russian radar installations, and in the case of using an unmanned mode, the creation of active interference will simply limit US access to the aircraft.

Among other things, last week there were news that one of the units of the American company Lockheed Martin intends to start developing a new reconnaissance aircraft, the prototype of which was taken the design and basic parameters of the legendary U-2. The new aircraft is not only small in size, but also able to remain in the air for up to 20 hours, which in its essence provides a unique opportunity to monitor the movements and concentrations of enemy troops. The new development will definitely become in demand in the US air force, however, its actual design has just begun, and therefore, the production of a reconnaissance aircraft will most likely not begin earlier than the year 2025, which, of course, promises counter-developments by Russian experts in this field.
