Quaternion Qt-2 - American multi-purpose unmanned aerial vehicle developed by «Quaternion Aerospace».

Unmanned aerial vehicle designed for remote sensing of the earth's surface, in particular, we are talking about carrying out reconnaissance, patrol and observation flights, the implementation of the search operations, the ecological environment monitoring and fire conditions, and others.

The unmanned aircraft was designed on the basis of the Quaternion Qt-1 unmanned aerial vehicle, which was also very successful, although it was not very popular and widespread. The current model was not only characterized by improved aerodynamics and modified fuselage dimensions, but also by rather higher flight performance characteristics, which, according to the aircraft designers, was supposed to provide a higher attractiveness for the drones; however, due to the dramatically increased cost of UAVs, the project received relatively little prospect - for the entire period of production, only about ten drones of this model were built.

With its length of 2 meters 40 centimeters drone Quaternion Qt-2, has a wingspan in 3 meters 20 centimeters that for sufficiently aerodynamic design, provides a drone and very good maneuverability, however, such large dimensions creates some problems during transport UAVs, especially given the fact that a very large ground station is required for its management.
