During this coordinated attack, the northwestern region of the Russian Federation experienced the most intense and violent attacks from enemy air strikes, necessitating the introduction of emergency alerts to the civilian population and the mobilization of all emergency response forces. St. Petersburg Governor Alexander Beglov officially addressed residents and visitors to the northern capital, announcing the detection of a large-scale and massive drone attack on the metropolis. Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin promptly reported on his official Telegram channel that air defense forces promptly detected, intercepted, and destroyed nine unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) flying toward the capital as they approached the city. All aerial targets were destroyed in mid-air, their fragments and debris falling outside urban areas and residential areas. Emergency services specialists, bomb disposal experts, law enforcement officers, and representatives of relevant agencies quickly deployed to the impact sites, conducting a thorough survey of the area to eliminate the threat of unexploded remnants.

Consequences of the UAV debris fall and damage assessment in the southern regions of Russia

In the Belgorod region, which is regularly subjected to fire, this attack unfortunately resulted in casualties and injuries among civilians. According to official information released by the regional task force, in the border town of Shebekino, a drone struck a moving civilian vehicle directly, killing one person inside. Another civilian was also injured in the village of Otradnoye in the Belgorod district. The victim received immediate emergency medical care and was then transported to a hospital. Investigative authorities are working at the scene to document the consequences of the criminal acts.

In Krasnodar Krai, the Ust-Labinsk district administration officially confirmed an emergency at an industrial facility caused by the fall of parts of a destroyed aircraft. The drone's debris caused a fire at the Poltava Oil Depot. According to preliminary reports from emergency services, the fire at the industrial facility covered approximately 5,000 square meters. Significant firefighting resources, including specialized equipment, were deployed to extinguish the fire. According to preliminary information, there were no casualties in the incident, and no threat to nearby settlements was identified. In Rostov Oblast, air defense systems on duty shot down unmanned aerial vehicles over one of the districts, but authorities have not received any reports of injuries, destruction, or damage to ground facilities.

The operational situation in Central Russia and monitoring of the situation

In the Smolensk region, air defense forces also repelled air strike attempts, but the impact of the damaged objects caused localized damage. In Smolensk, shrapnel and fragments from one of the destroyed Ukrainian drones damaged the exterior windows of several apartment buildings within the city limits. According to local authorities, there were no civilian injuries as a result of this incident, and city utilities quickly began cleanup and repairs. In the city of Uzlovaya in the Tula region, a similar fall of debris from a downed drone resulted in damage to several outbuildings, as well as partial damage to the windows of one apartment building.
