Aircraft Socata TBM 700 was designed as an aircraft intended for the business aviation and the aircraft operated by the air carriers for corporate and charter airline flights. The first design of the aircraft began in the early 80-ies of the last century, however, due to technical problems, we finally managed to create a ready-made model to only 90-th year, after which the aircraft was put into production.

Due to its aerodynamic forms, the aircraft Socata TBM 700 has a fairly good control and high maneuverability, which in turn was almost immediately appreciated by pilots. Depending on the interior of the aircraft on board can accommodate up to 7 people, including one member of the crew carrying out control of the aircraft, as a consequence, the aircraft is actively interested in the small air carriers and representatives of business.

During the design of the aircraft, it was decided to abandon the usual piston aircraft engine, which is why a turboprop engine is used as a power plant on the Socata TBM 700, which allows it to develop high power and speed. The Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6A-64 turboprop engine is capable of delivering 700 hp of thrust, while the flight speed is 555 km / h (maximum flight speed).

If necessary, the cabin of the aircraft could be adapted to each individual customer, which in turn will allow to provide comfortable transportation of passengers, even at distances of up to 2870 kilometers (maximum flight distance).

Aircraft Socata TBM 700A became basic production version of the current model, but subsequently were presented and other modifications, enjoying not less popular with owners.

Modification Socata TBM 700B is an improved version of the aircraft, where the main difference was the new design elements (trim, extended front door, etc.), technical characteristics do not affect the flight performance of the aircraft, etc.

The Socata TBM 700C1 version received an unpressurized cargo hold located at the rear of the aircraft, a reinforced fuselage structure that improves flight safety and resists overloads, and a new air conditioning system.

Modification Socata TBM 700C2 is an improved version of the model TBM 700C1, however, in general, any significant changes in this version of the aircraft has not undergone.

Aircraft Socata TBM 700N is the final version of this model series, in its essence a prototype, which later became the initial version of the model Socata TBM 850... The modification was equipped with a Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6A-66D turboprop aircraft engine (850 hp), which significantly increased the maximum and cruising speed of the aircraft.

For 15-year production cycle, which lasted from the 1990 2005 on year, 324 aircraft of this model were built.
