The company today offers a lightweight corporate and private jet DAHER-SOCATA TBM 850, which is based on the TBM 700 model (first take off July 1988). The new aircraft received a more powerful engine, made its first flight in February 2005 under the code TBM700N and was actually the second analogue of TBM700, in which the originally installed Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6A64 522kW (700hp) engine was replaced with PT6A66D. The latter had a rated power of 1361 kW (1825hp), after being mounted on the aircraft it was reduced to 634kW (850hp), but the takeoff power was reduced to 522kW (700hp) to simplify certification. The new aircraft received from its predecessor an air four-bladed propeller and a fuel reserve of 1100 liters.

TBM850 is a serial modification of TBM700N, the aircraft is intended mainly for the North American market, where its main competitors are new jet ultralight aircraft. Engine power in cruise flight mode can be increased up to 850hp. (634kW), the cruising speed of the TBM850 is thus much higher than that of the TBM700 variations, especially at high altitudes, but the range will be slightly reduced.

Deliveries of TBM850 started in 2006, while since 2008, TBM850 instead of a rather "colorful" and extensive set of different equipment is equipped with a "glass" integrated Garmin G1000 cab, which has been offered since 2009 in a better version, using "artificial vision" technology (Synthetic Vision Technology , synthesized display on the monitor of a three-dimensional image of the Earth's surface). The cost of the standard TBM850 variant for 2010 was slightly over $ 3 million. The plane can be piloted by one or two pilots and carry 4-5 passengers.
