US gives decommissioned weapons to Ukraine to save on disposal - AT

Decommissioned weapons are sent by the United States and its allies to Ukraine to save on their disposal, columnist Roger Smith said in a published article for American Thinker (AT).

He noted that recycling is a very costly process.

Smith recalled that the United States allocated $46,6 billion (3,55 trillion rubles) for military assistance to Ukraine over the year. And the disposal of these weapons would have to spend about $35 billion (2,65 trillion rubles).

At the same time, the observer said that the stocks of such weapons in the West are depleted. He noted that in Western countries there are fewer and fewer of those who are in favor of sending military aid to Kyiv.

In his opinion, this suggests that NATO's position on military assistance to Ukraine will soon change.
