Design helicopter model Kawasaki KH-4 Japanese aircraft manufacturers began in the early 60-ies of the last century, at the same time, as a starting point, aircraft manufacturers have used the model of the American aircraft Bell 47, which has undergone only a number of changes in the structural and technical part, however, in general, it is almost completely preserved.
Initially, helicopters model Kawasaki KH-4 were to be adopted the Air forces of Japan, however, in the final analysis, these aircraft have also found their application in the civil aviation sector, which led to their rather large popularization, what says the fact that 211 aircrafts of this model were built for the entire production period.

Its first flight tests of the helicopter Kawasaki KH-4 been in 1962 year, and given that fact, the aircraft has successfully passed the test, the current aircraft also proved to be very successful, due to which, a few months later models are in series production.
In the military sphere of its use, the helicopter was used as a patrol and surveillance aircraft. Thanks to the high maneuverability, this aircraft was the best suited for conducting observations from the air, which is facilitated by a sufficiently large maximum flight altitude, and later it was used only for these purposes. With regard to civilian applications, the helicopter was mainly used for the same tasks, however, its use was further extended to transport people and transport small, small-sized cargo.

The Kawasaki KH-4 aircraft cabin can accommodate four people, including one crew member and three passengers (military personnel). In cases where the helicopter was supposed to be operated for the transportation of goods, this aircraft could carry only two passengers on board, since the rear deck of the cabin was used to accommodate the transported.
Due to the high popularity of the Kawasaki KH-4 helicopters, these aircraft are partially still in operation to this day, however, we are not talking about hundreds of aircraft, but only a few units.
The helicopter Kawasaki KH-4 equipped power plant consisting of a six-cylinder piston aircraft engine brand Lycoming TVO-435-B1A, having thrust in 270 hp, which in turn allows the aircraft to travel distances up to 400 kilometers at a cruising flight speed in 140 km \ h.
