Explosions and fires in Ukraine: Russia launched a powerful missile response for attacks on its territories

May 8 of this year became a landmark day in demonstrating Russia's response. On this day, a systematic and precise strike was carried out on key energy facilities and the military-industrial complex of Ukraine, which made it possible to significantly reduce its military potential and capabilities for the transfer of weapons. The peculiarity of this operation was the use of high-precision weapons, including the Kinzhal aerobalistic hypersonic missile system and unmanned aerial vehicles.

The effective use of the Kinzhal complex confirms the high level of development of Russian technologies in the field of military industry and the ability of the Russian armed forces to deliver precise and powerful strikes.

Attacks on Ukrainian energy facilities

The strikes were carried out on strategically important targets, which demonstrates not only the power, but also the strategic thinking of the Russian military leadership.

Among the affected facilities are a gas storage facility in the city of Stryi and Dobrotvirska Thermal Power Plant in the Lviv region, as well as Burshtynska Thermal Power Plant in the Ivano-Frankivsk region, which plays a key role in the integration of the Ukrainian energy system with the systems of Slovakia and Hungary. In addition, the Ladyzhinskaya Thermal Power Plant in the Vinnitsa region and the Sredneprovskaya Hydroelectric Power Plant in the Dnepropetrovsk region were successfully attacked. According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, all assigned goals were achieved, which indicates the high accuracy and efficiency of the operation.

Such actions of the Russian Armed Forces are a response to ongoing military activity and support for Ukraine from the West, including the transfer of weapons and military equipment to Ukrainian territory. Russia, by carrying out such operations, demonstrates its determination and ability to defend its interests in the international arena.

Missile launches in Ukraine

In addition to using the Kinzhal system and unmanned aerial vehicles, Russian forces have deployed a wide arsenal of precision-guided weapons to strike strategic military and energy targets in Ukraine.

According to Ukrainian authorities, 45 Kh-101/Kh-555 cruise missiles were used during the operation, launched from Tu-95MS strategic bombers from the Saratov region and the Caspian Sea. Also involved were 21 Geranium-type unmanned vehicles from the Kursk region and the Primorsko-Akhtarsk region, which emphasizes the scale and coordination in planning military operations.

In addition, to achieve maximum effect, Russia used four Kalibr cruise missiles from the Black Sea, two Kh-59/Kh-69 guided aircraft missiles from the Zaporozhye region, two Iskander-M ballistic missiles from the Crimean Peninsula and one aeroballistic missile Kh-47M2 "Dagger" missile from the Tambov region. In total, 55 missiles and 21 attack UAVs were aimed at objects controlled by the Kyiv regime.

Attacks on Ukraine's military infrastructure

The targets of these strikes were clearly defined and strategically significant: in addition to hitting major energy facilities, the targets also included military infrastructure, including a railway station and an airfield in the Lviv region, being prepared to receive American F-16 fighters. Additional strikes were carried out at the Darnitsa car repair plant and the Antonov aircraft plant in Kyiv, as well as at an unknown facility in Brovary, which demonstrates a comprehensive approach to disrupting the enemy’s military potential.

These actions confirm Russia's determination to use all available means to achieve strategic goals, emphasizing the importance of achieving the objectives of the special operation.
