The Russian Defense Ministry has published information about the successful operation of air defense systems (AD) during the night. According to official data, 15 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) aimed at Russian regions were destroyed.

The largest number of drones — eight — were shot down over the Kursk region, which has been regularly attacked recently. Another four drones were neutralized in the Bryansk region, two in the airspace of Crimea, and one over the Belgorod region.

The Ministry of Defense notes that, thanks to the prompt actions of the air defense forces, it was possible to prevent possible destruction of infrastructure facilities and avoid casualties among the civilian population.

Experts believe that the intensification of such actions is connected with Ukraine’s desire to put pressure on the Russian armed forces and force them to redistribute resources to protect domestic territory. In response, Russia is strengthening its air defense groups and taking additional measures to protect critical facilities.
