News Cheboksary, December 9, 2025, Avia.proOn December 9, Acting Mayor of Cheboksary Stanislav Trofimov reported on the aftermath of the nighttime attack by Ukrainian drones on the city. As a result, debris from the downed drones injured 14 residents, including a child. Four people required temporary evacuation due to damage to their homes.

According to TASS, the strike affected 15 buildings, including ten residential ones. Facades, balconies, windows, and parked cars in the Southwest district were damaged. All victims were hospitalized and are in stable condition.

Trofimov noted that a technical school dormitory with more than 30 rooms had been prepared to accommodate the evacuees.

"We decided to organize accommodation in the technical school dormitory. More than 30 rooms were arranged, but we only see four people who have expressed a desire to move there. The rest are staying with friends, relatives, and parents." - He explained.

Chuvash authorities continue to address the aftermath, including restoring power and inspecting the surrounding areas. Cheboksary Airport temporarily suspended operations, but the restrictions have been lifted.
