On the evening of February 18, 2025, Russian air defense systems successfully repelled a large-scale attack by Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) on the Bryansk region. From 21:30 to 22:30 Moscow time, 20 enemy drones were destroyed, and another one was destroyed over the territory of Crimea. This was reported by the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

Bryansk Region Governor Alexander Bogomaz confirmed that thanks to the prompt actions of the air defense, casualties and destruction on the ground were avoided. He thanked the military for their professionalism and emphasized that the situation is under the full control of regional authorities and security agencies.

"Twenty enemy UAVs of the aircraft type were detected and destroyed by the air defense forces of the Russian Defense Ministry over the Bryansk region. There were no casualties or damage. Operational and emergency services are working on the scene. Thank you to our defenders!"- said in the message.

Attacks by Ukrainian UAVs on Russian border regions have become more frequent in recent months. Attacks are recorded almost daily, with different targets each time.
