65 Russian planes arrested for flights to Crimea

Flights to Crimea resulted in the arrest of planes for Russian airlines.

Russian passenger airliners were arrested at the request of the official Kiev for flying to the Crimean Peninsula. Despite the fact that Russian airlines do not operate flights to Ukraine, those of the planes that are subject to arrest can be arrested at other airports in the world, especially given the fact that only 7 countries have declared their recognition of Russian sovereignty over Crimea.

“In Ukraine, 65 planes were“ arrested ”that flew to Crimea. A message about this was posted on the website of the so-called Prosecutor's Office of the ARC. "The Prosecutor's Office of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea appealed to the court with approval of the arrest of the planes of some Russian airlines that violated the procedure for entering and leaving the territory of the peninsula," the message says. The message states that at present 65 planes have been "arrested" in Ukraine ", - reports the Russian information publication "Crimea 24".

Experts draw attention to the fact that the problem can really become very acute for Russian airlines, because if the EU considers Kiev's request for the arrest of Russian civilian ships, then until the fines imposed by Ukraine are paid off, domestic carriers may be left without aircraft, especially given the fact that the EU may well take such actions in order to put additional pressure on Russia.
