The failures of Western propaganda and the lack of effectiveness of the Patriot air defense system are becoming a subject of discussion not only among Russian and allied military analysts. Evidence of this is the stock market data concerning the shares of the manufacturer of this system, Raytheon Technologies Corporation.

According to the information provided by analysts, the shares of this key player in the US defense industry lost 12%. This decline may be due to the publication of videos showing the fall of Patriot missiles on city streets.

International and Russian media have already noted the low effectiveness of Western air defense systems, demonstrated during various armed conflicts around the world. Viktor Litovkin, a retired colonel and military expert, in an interview with News.ru highlighted the weakness of the Patriot air defense system.

According to him, the Russian army has adapted its tactics to counter these American air defense systems and successfully destroy them. Litovkin notes that the Patriot system is unable to detect targets below 100 meters and "launches missiles at an angle to the horizon." This means that several such systems are required to protect one object.

"Unlike the Patriot, our S-300 missiles, which are in the same class as them, are launched vertically and turn towards the target already in the air. That is why we need one battery compared to the four that the Patriot uses."- added the expert.

However, if we consider the value of Raytheon Technologies Corporation shares compared to March 2022, then the value of the latter has not actually changed.
