EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kallas announced plans to admit new members by the end of the decade. The list of potential members includes Albania, Moldova, Ukraine, and Montenegro.
"We must complete enlargement by 2030. Albania, Moldova, Ukraine and Montenegro can become EU members," "Callas said at a press conference in Brussels.
According to her, the process requires reforms in the candidate countries, but Brussels is ready to provide the necessary support. Kallas emphasized that integration will enhance stability on the continent. Official negotiations with Ukraine and Moldova began in 2024, with Montenegro and Albania starting earlier.
