American F-22 fighters staged a dangerous provocation against the Russian Il-20M aircraft.

While the Russian Il-20M aircraft was in international airspace, American F-22 fighters unexpectedly approached it. According to preliminary data, the planes, for no apparent reason, began approaching the Russian board, ostensibly for identification. However, given that the situation was observed in international airspace at a distance of several hundred kilometers from US airspace, the actions of the US Air Force were clearly provocative.

According to the information provided by the NORAD command, the Russian aircraft entered the air defense identification zone, in connection with which, probably, American fighters were sent to the Russian aircraft, which was supported by the publication of the corresponding image. Nevertheless, the actions of the US Air Force were clearly provocative, which only exacerbates the already very difficult relationship between Washington and Moscow.

Earlier, the United States reported that in two different cases, attempts were made to approach Russian aircraft to the borders of the United States and Canada, however, due to the rather large distance to the borders of the airspace of these states, such arguments are very controversial.
