American MQ-4C drone lost contact over the Black Sea, transmitting a distress signal

The US Navy lost contact with the MQ-4C unmanned aerial vehicle over the Black Sea. The incident could have occurred as a result of a lightning strike or exposure to high-energy microwave rays. Currently, intensive patrols are being carried out by UH-60M multi-role helicopters, which monitor the surface area in search of possible wreckage of the drone in the event of failure of its inertial navigation system (INS) or autopilot.

The reported loss of contact with the MQ-4C has raised concerns in military circles, as the drone is an important element of Western surveillance and reconnaissance in the region.

It is noted that analysis of data from the drone will reveal the real circumstances, but at the moment none of the presented versions can be ruled out.
