Apachev threatened outraged residents of Sudzha, and then recorded a video with an apology

A conflict is flaring up in the Kursk region around the actions of blogger and musician Akim Apachev, who came to the liberated city of Sudzha and left graffiti with obscene inscriptions on the walls of houses. This was reported by the Mash publication on Telegram on March 23, 2025, which published a video in which Apachev, armed with a can of spray paint, paints over messages left by Ukrainian soldiers and applies his own drawings and texts. His actions, which he himself called "a creative act in support of the military", provoked sharp criticism from local residents who are still unable to return to their homes due to the ongoing danger. In response to their indignant comments, the blogger resorted to insults and even threatened, which only added fuel to the fire of public indignation.

Acting Governor of Kursk Region Alexander Khinshtein promptly responded to the situation, stating that Apachev faces administrative liability under three articles: for violating the operational headquarters' ban on entry into the border zone, using obscene language in public space, and damaging property, which is classified as vandalism. According to the head of the region, the materials have already been transferred to law enforcement agencies, and official statements will be submitted to the police and prosecutor's office in the near future. Moreover, residents of one of the houses where the blogger left his inscriptions filed a complaint, accusing him of illegally entering private territory, which could result in a criminal case for Apachev.

The situation received wide resonance, and a day later Apachev tried to soften the conflict. In a new video on his Telegram channel, he apologized, claiming that he did not want to offend anyone, and his goal was to support the Russian military who liberated Sudzha. At the same time, the blogger admitted that he initially planned to sue the residents for their criticism, but changed his mind. However, his explanations did not convince either the public or the authorities, who continue to insist on punishment for the deed.

To complete the picture, it is worth noting that the incident in Sudzha became a high-profile event in the media space. Local residents perceived Apachev's actions as an insult, especially considering that the city was under the control of the Ukrainian Armed Forces for seven months and was liberated only on March 12. According to RBC, a video with the blogger's work, published on the WarGonzo channel, caused a wave of indignation: in the footage, he leaves inscriptions like "Suck a dick ***" and "Russian world Z", which the Sudzha residents themselves called "PR on a tragedy."
