Argentine pilots massively refused to fly the Boeing 737 MAX 8

Argentine pilots refused to fly Boeing 737 Max 8 after a plane crash in Ethiopia.

On March 12, the Pilot Association of Argentina announced that the crews were reluctant to fly the Boeing 737 Max 8 after the crash that occurred in Ethiopia.

The public organization, which includes civilian pilots of the country, requests the National Civil Aviation Administration and Aerolíneas Argentinas to take preventive measures to ensure the safety of crew members and passengers after two crashes that occurred with Boeing 737 Max airliners.

In its appeal, the Association states that it is necessary to stop flying on these aircraft until official, reasoned information appears that there is no risk.

A day earlier, the Chinese authorities imposed a ban on the use of Boeing-737 Max 8 inside the country. This ban began to operate on March 13 at 00 pm (XNUMX:XNUMX Moscow time).

As for the US Federal Aviation Administration, it also made a statement following the crash. As the channel 360 reports, in the USA they see no problems with the use of Boeing 737 Max 8 for commercial purposes.

The crash in Ethiopia, during which the Boeing 737 MAX 8 crashed near the city of Debre Zeit, occurred on March 10th, six minutes after takeoff. This is the second disaster with a similar aircraft, both of which occurred during the climb. On March 10, all 157 people aboard died in Ethiopia.
