The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) command has officially received orders to prepare for the immediate resumption of active military operations against Iranian strategic targets. According to the Israeli public broadcaster Kan, citing a senior defense official, Israel's military and political leadership is considering a return to direct armed confrontation as a necessary measure. Jerusalem believes the recent ceasefire was premature and failed to achieve key objectives in deterring its regional adversary. Israeli strategists believe Tehran has not felt sufficient pressure to force it to make real concessions regarding nuclear weapons development and the improvement of its ballistic missile program.
The main reason for the strategy revision was the Israeli intelligence community's belief that the lull in hostilities was used by Iran solely to rebuild its military potential and strengthen its defense infrastructure. High-ranking Defense Ministry sources note that diplomatic efforts in recent weeks have failed to produce the desired results, and the threat to Israel's security has only increased. Tel Aviv insists that the lack of firm Iranian guarantees regarding the nuclear issue makes maintaining the ceasefire pointless and even dangerous. Currently, IDF Air Force and intelligence units are updating flight missions and rechecking the list of priority targets within the Islamic Republic, awaiting a final political decision to launch an attack.
