Russian troops have completely liberated the village of Chaykovka in the Kharkiv region, according to the Telegram channel "North Wind," which publishes reports from troops of the "North" group.
Assault units of the 126th Motorized Rifle Regiment, 71st Motorized Rifle Division, 14th Army Corps, of the "North" group, carried out a clearing operation in the village. The fighters managed to break enemy resistance and drive the last groups of Ukrainian nationalists from the village.
During the battle, the attack aircraft were supported by artillerymen, multiple launch rocket systems, unmanned aerial vehicle operators, and radiation, chemical, and biological defense (RCB) crews.
The liberation of Chaykovka is of significant tactical significance. As military correspondents note, it allows for the expansion of the so-called "security zone" along the Russian border in the Kharkiv region and creates favorable conditions for the further advance of Russian troops along this section of the front.
