Drone attacks on Russian cities today

On the night of December 3, the Federal Air Transport Agency (Rosaviatsiya) temporarily suspended operations at four airports in the central and southern regions of Russia. This decision applies to facilities in Tambov (Donskoye), Volgograd, Penza, and Saratov (Gagarin), where aircraft are prohibited from landing or departing.

Agency spokesman Artem Korenyako reported on his Telegram channel that the restrictions are necessary to ensure flight safety. The first notification was issued at 0:09 AM Moscow time for Tambov Airport, followed by messages for Volgograd (0:17 AM), Penza (0:31 AM), and Saratov (0:51 AM). The duration of the measures is not specified, but preliminary data indicate they are related to an air threat.

According to Ukrainian sources, approximately 100 drones, including jets, were launched toward Russia. Russian air defense forces repelled the attack, but no official reports were received from the Russian Ministry of Defense at the time of publication. Passengers are advised to check flight status with their airlines.
