An explosion caused by an attack by a Ukrainian drone was recorded in Grozny this morning. The incident occurred at around 5 a.m., the Baza Telegram channel reported, publishing a video from surveillance cameras.

According to sources, the target of the attack could have been one of the objects located on the territory of the Akhmat Kadyrov patrol and guard service regiment. Eyewitnesses claim that the explosion was quite powerful, but there is currently no information about casualties or damage.

Attempts to attack strategic and military facilities in Russian regions by drones have been recorded before, especially against the backdrop of the ongoing conflict. Critical infrastructure facilities or military facilities are often the main target of such attacks.

The authorities of the Chechen Republic have not yet commented on the incident, but previously similar cases were quickly taken under control by local security forces.
