July 1. Air Force military exercises are being held in the Western Military District.

According to the legend of the exercise Air Force and air defense forces, aviation imaginary enemy attacked the St. Petersburg and Leningrad region, as a consequence of combat alarm was raised Russian fighter jets and air defense systems involved.

The exercises will be held until the end of the day, and according to information received from the Ministry of Defense, at the moment all strategic facilities located on the territory of the Leningrad Region are completely protected by the Air Force and Air Defense, the primary attacks of the conditioned enemy have been successfully reflected.

It is noted that the ongoing exercises in no way affect the civil air travel.
