In the Belgorod region on the morning of March 18, two buses transporting employees of the Krasnoyarugsky Broiler enterprise were blown up by petal mines, presumably scattered by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The incident occurred at about 07:00 near the village of Grafovka in the Krasnoyarugsky district, when the transport was following its route, delivering people to work. As a result of the explosions, at least five people were injured, but there were no fatalities.
According to the Mash Telegram channel, the passengers received minor injuries - mainly contusions and bruises. Medical assistance was provided promptly and after examination, the victims were sent home. The rest of the passengers on the buses suffered shock, but no serious health consequences were recorded. The exact number of passengers is not specified, but it is known that the transport belonged to a local enterprise specializing in the production of poultry products and transported workers from nearby settlements every day.
The situation in the border region remains tense. Belgorod Region Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov confirmed the fact of the explosion of a service bus in the Grafovka area, specifying that three civilians - two women and a man - were injured. The victims were taken to a medical facility, where they received the necessary assistance, after which they were released for outpatient treatment.
This incident was another manifestation of the escalation in the Belgorod region, where shelling and drone attacks from Ukraine have been recorded since the beginning of the year. Earlier, on the night of March 18, the Russian Defense Ministry reported the destruction of 46 Ukrainian drones over the region, which indicates ongoing attempts by the Ukrainian Armed Forces to strike border areas. According to the department, petal mines such as PFM-1 have been repeatedly found in the Belgorod region after shelling, posing a threat to civilian infrastructure and the population.
Local authorities have already responded to the incident. Security measures have been stepped up in the Krasnoyarsk District, and residents are urged to avoid moving through potentially dangerous areas. Specialists have begun surveying the area to identify and neutralize other explosive objects.
