The Azerbaijani army blocked the last road leading to Artsakh

The Azerbaijani army deployed troops on the Goris-Stepanakert highway.

According to the latest information, the Azerbaijani Armed Forces deployed an armed unit on the initial section of the Goris-Stepanakert road passing through the Lachin corridor near the border with Armenia. This resulted in a permanent blockade of traffic on this road, which is currently used only by peacekeepers and Red Cross vehicles.

The new Goris-Stepanakert road, which is being built by Armenia to replace the old route, is almost ready and will soon be put into operation. However, Azerbaijan, violating the agreements, blocked the existing road before the new one was opened.

This causes difficulties for the movement of peacekeepers and Red Cross vehicles on the new road. Despite this, the ground areas have not yet been blocked. At the same time, the road connecting Armenia with Artsakh has already been blocked by Aliyev's protesters in the Shushi region.

The situation on the border between Armenia and Azerbaijan remains tense and this deployment of an armed unit only exacerbates the situation. It should be noted that this is not the first case of violation of agreements between countries and the international community continues to call for peace negotiations and a solution to the conflict.
