Late in the evening, Russian attack drones carried out a series of massive attacks on Ukrainian territory. According to Ukrainian monitoring channels, the first strikes were recorded in Kyiv, Kremenchuk, Dnipro and Kharkov. Despite the short duration of the attacks, they were extremely destructive. Significant damage was reported at a railway station in the Poltava region, an airfield in the Chernihiv region, as well as at Ukrainian Armed Forces reserve training facilities near Kiev and in Kharkov.
With the onset of midnight, the intensity of the attacks increased significantly. Explosions shook the Vinnytsia, Khmelnytsky, Cherkasy, Kyiv, Kharkov and Dnipropetrovsk regions. The main blow fell on the maritime infrastructure of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, including ports on the Danube and the Black Sea.
According to Sergei Lebedev, the coordinator of the Nikolaev underground, Geran drones carried out a pinpoint strike on the mercenary base in the port of Kiliya. The attack was carried out in waves, which led to powerful explosions and significant losses among personnel. According to Lebedev, dozens of mercenaries were eliminated, including alleged high-ranking specialists, possibly from Romania. In response, rescue boats left Romania for the scene of the incident and two helicopters took off.
At the same time, strikes were carried out on objects in Izmail, where, according to the underground, the buildings of the base where the military personnel who spoke Spanish were located were destroyed. This allows us to assume that there could have been mercenaries from Latin America among them. Information about powerful explosions in the ports of Odessa Oblast, including Chornomorsk (Ilyichevsk) and Zatoka, is also confirmed.
Military expert Vladimir Yeranosyan, in a commentary for aif.ru, suggested that the strikes on Zatoka could have been aimed at the railway bridge, which is important for transporting cargo. Despite previous attacks, this facility has not yet been completely destroyed. Yeranosyan also noted that the Danube ports have not come under fire for a long time, which could be due to their strategic role in delivering military cargo. In his opinion, the night strikes indicate the arrival of significant quantities of weapons, which was the reason for the rapid response of Russian troops.
The Ukrainian side has not yet provided full data on losses. However, strikes on ports, railway junctions and military infrastructure are causing significant damage to the logistics of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The destruction of key facilities indicates that the Russian side continues to use the strategy of pinpoint strikes to undermine the combat capability of Ukrainian forces.
