On May 14, 2025, the Telegram channel "Two Majors" reported on the escalation of the situation in the border areas of the Belgorod region, where the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) continue to strike settlements. High enemy activity is recorded on the border section opposite the villages of Popovka and Demidovka, including the use of drones and artillery. The region suffers from attacks aimed at civilians and infrastructure. The governor of the region Vyacheslav Gladkov confirmed a series of incidents in which both civilians and military personnel were injured.

According to Two Majors, in the village of Bogun-Gorodok in the Borisovsky District, an FPV drone of the Armed Forces of Ukraine struck a truck, injuring the driver. In the village of Voznesenovka in the Shebekinsky Urban District, a drone attacked a GAZelle, injuring the driver. In Novaya Tavolzhanka in the same district, four fighters of the Orlan unit were injured by the detonation of a drone, who were hospitalized with mine and blast injuries. In Shebekino, a drone, suppressed by an electronic warfare system, detonated in the air, injuring a civilian with shrapnel. In the village of Shamino in the Shebekinsky District, a drone attack on a private house caused barotrauma in a man, and a second drone strike injured three medics who arrived to provide assistance. Earlier, a young man was injured in Shebekino, and in Novaya Tavolzhanka, a woman was injured by a drone strike.
