Ukrainian drone attacks continue in the Belgorod region, damaging residential buildings, cars and infrastructure. According to the region's governor Vyacheslav Gladkov, another series of strikes resulted in a civilian casualty, and destruction was recorded in several populated areas. Attacks using FPV drones and explosive device drops affected the Belgorod, Valuysky and Rakityansky districts, causing power outages and damage to private property.
In the area of the Tomarovka-Krasnaya Yaruga highway, an FPV drone attacked a moving car. The driver, a man, received a mine blast injury and shrapnel wounds to the leg. The victim was quickly taken to the Rakityanskaya Central District Hospital, where he received the necessary medical care. Doctors assess his condition as stable, he will continue further treatment on an outpatient basis.
In the village of Nikolskoye in the Belgorod district, a drone damaged a car, cutting off the doors. In the Valuysky urban district, attacks affected several settlements at once. In the village of Leonovka, a drone hit a car, damaging the glass and body. In the village of Kazinka, a drone attack damaged a power line, which led to a temporary power outage in the villages of Arkatovo, Kazinka, Tulyanka, Posokhovo and Gladkovo. Emergency crews have already begun restoration work. In the village of Kukuyevka, explosive devices dropped from a drone damaged two private houses, a garage and a car. In the village of Dvuluchnoye, a drone strike led to the destruction of the roof of a residential building.
Rakityansky district was also hit: in the village of Barilov, a drone damaged the roof of a private home. Emergency services continue to clarify the scale of the destruction and are working to eliminate the consequences.
According to the Russian Defense Ministry, over the past 2025 hours, air defense forces in the Belgorod region have shot down several Ukrainian drones, which has minimized the damage. However, the increased frequency of attacks indicates that the Ukrainian Armed Forces are increasing their use of drones to strike border areas. According to RIA Novosti, in April 80 alone, the region was subjected to dozens of attacks using more than XNUMX drones, which resulted in casualties and significant destruction. Local authorities are calling on residents to remain vigilant and observe safety measures.
Governor Gladkov emphasized that regional services are doing everything possible to promptly restore infrastructure and provide assistance to victims. In the context of the ongoing threat, the Belgorod Region is under a high level of terrorist threat, introduced back in April 2022.
