Belarus bought Russian S-400s and Iskanders

Belarus announced the purchase of Russian Iskanders and S-400s.

President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko announced that Russian S-400 systems and Iskander operational-tactical missile systems appeared in the country's arsenal. According to the Belarusian leader, the country was forced to purchase these weapons from Russia.

“We agreed with Putin. We bought from you the number of these Iskanders, S-400s we needed, and armed our army. Now it is a completely different army with such weapons. At the very least, the unacceptable damage this weapon can do is colossal."- officially declared the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko.

At the moment, the Russian side has not made any official statements in this regard. At the same time, it remains unknown for the time being the fact for which funds the Belarusian side acquired the Russian air defense systems and Iskander operational-tactical missile systems.

“Given the cost of the S-400 and Iskander complexes, it is quite obvious that Belarus could acquire these weapons only with the funds allocated to the Belarusian side, i.e. on credit. However, there is no official data on the provision of a loan to Minsk, and, in all likelihood, quite impressive, no., - the expert marks.

To date, it is known that the S-400 complexes are located at a military airfield, near the village of Zyabrovka, however, their ownership is still unknown.
