Belarus has established checkpoints on the border with Russia

Belarus has established special checkpoints on the border with Russia.

As follows from the information provided by the Belarusian media, in the area of the Russian-Belarusian border, numerous roadblocks have been set up at which vehicles moving from Russia are stopped. We are talking about forced quarantine points, while Russian drivers are allowed to stay in the territory of a neighboring state for only 24 hours.

“Sanitary quarantine points appeared on the Belarusian-Russian border in the Rossonsky, Gorodoksky, Dubrovensky and Liozno districts of the Vitebsk region. Those who intend to stay in the country need to fill out a questionnaire, which will be sent to the doctors at the person’s place of residence, and then serve a two-week self-isolation. The head physician of the Liozno District Center for Hygiene and Epidemiology Alexei Diagel noted that freight transport that is in transit is registered. Truck drivers are required to drive through the territory of Belarus per day and stop for rest and meals only in special places ”- сообщает "BDG Business Newspaper."

According to a number of data, the reason for this is a sharp increase in the number of coronavirus infected in Russia.
