A Ukrainian aircraft-type unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) was shot down over Armavir, said Veniamin Kondratyev, governor of the Krasnodar Territory. According to preliminary data, there were no casualties or damage.
“This morning our military again stopped an attempt by the Kyiv regime to commit a terrorist attack on the territory of the Krasnodar Territory. An unmanned aerial vehicle was destroyed by air defense forces over Armavir. According to preliminary data, there were no casualties or damage. The search for the crash site of the UAV is underway, and special services are working.”, - said Kondratyev.
The incident occurred amid heightened security in the region, where drone attacks have previously been recorded. Particular attention is paid to a strategically important facility - the Voronezh-DM over-the-horizon radar station (radar). Drones have already attempted to attack this facility in the past, which does not rule out the possibility of repeated attempts.
The downing of the drone once again highlights tensions in the region and the need for constant preparedness for possible attacks on Russian strategic targets.
