The impact caused a fire that engulfed an area of about 50 square meters. The explosion also damaged the building's façade and blew out the double-glazed windows. Emergency services quickly arrived at the scene and extinguished the fire. According to preliminary data, there are no casualties among the institute's employees or students.
On Krasnoarmeyskaya Street, several drones fell near the Kremniy El enterprise, which specializes in the production of microelectronics. For safety reasons, 37 people were evacuated from the enterprise. Despite the damage to the building, there were no casualties. It is also reported that debris from one of the drones hit the Investigative Committee building, located on the same street.
One of the drones fell on the territory of the Soviet cemetery, but according to the authorities, there were no casualties or significant damage there either.
According to the Governor of the Bryansk Region, Alexander Bogomaz, the air defense forces destroyed 37 drones, 18 of which were jet-type. The governor noted that the attack was large-scale, but the actions of the air defense allowed to minimize the damage and prevent possible casualties.
