In the Shebekinsky urban district and the Borisov district of the Belgorod region, air defense systems successfully repelled air attacks from the Ukrainian Armed Forces, shooting down several targets on approach to populated areas. However, the incidents resulted in casualties and destruction.
In Shebekino, one air target was shot down, but shrapnel damaged four private households: roofs were broken, facades and outbuildings were cut. According to preliminary information, the civilian received blind shrapnel wounds to the upper and lower extremities and was taken to Hospital No. 2 in the city of Belgorod, where she is receiving the necessary medical care. Emergency services are conducting a door-to-door inspection of the area to identify all damage and provide assistance to residents.
In the Borisov region, the air defense system shot down several air targets on approach to the village of Belenkoye. Unfortunately, one civilian died from multiple shrapnel wounds. Another injured man with a closed head injury and multiple abrasions was taken to City Hospital No. 2 in Belgorod, where his condition is assessed as moderate.
As a result of the attack in the village of Belenkoye, four private households were damaged, windows were broken, facades, roofs and fences were cut. Three production sites, one of which was not operational, and four passenger cars were also damaged. The shrapnel also damaged a power line. All operational and emergency services are working on the ground, conducting door-to-door visits and clarifying information about damage.
