Turkish Bayraktar TB2 attack drones are being adapted to fight drones, aircraft and helicopters.

Bayraktar TB2 and Bayraktar Akıncı drones will be equipped with short-range air-to-air cruise missiles. The latter will have to be used to destroy various kinds of targets, including aircraft, helicopters, unmanned aerial vehicles and even cruise missiles. To guide the missiles to the target, it is supposed to use both target designation from ground-based radars and a short-range radar built into the drone.

“Soon, our Bayraktar TB2 and Bayraktar Akıncı will be able to be equipped with air-to-air missiles not only to destroy drones, but also to counter enemy aircraft ... We are testing”, - said in a statement.

At the moment, it is known that we are talking about the integration of the Sungur cruise anti-aircraft missile, which is capable of hitting targets at distances up to 8 kilometers. This is more than effective, especially in the fight against drones and helicopters.
