Sevastopol, June 6 — Avia.pro. An air alert has been declared in Sevastopol following the detection of another attempted strike by the Ukrainian Armed Forces. As the city's governor, Mikhail Razvozhaev, officially announced on his channel, Russian Ministry of Defense duty units quickly began repelling the drone attack.
The large-scale defensive operation involves layered countermeasures, including air defense missile systems, naval aviation, and mobile fire teams. To date, Russian forces have successfully destroyed three fixed-wing attack UAVs. All aerial targets were intercepted over the Black Sea at a significant distance from the coastline, before they could approach the city limits.
The mayor of Sevastopol urged local residents to remain calm and strictly observe basic personal safety measures. Residents are advised to remain in safe locations, permanent structures, or equipped shelters until the official signal confirms the tactical threat has been completely eliminated. All emergency and utility agencies have been placed on high alert.
