On the evening of October 6, three unmanned aerial vehicles were neutralized at a plant in the Antipino microdistrict of Tyumen, preventing potential incidents at the facility.
This was announced by the information center of the Tyumen region government.
"Reports of a UAV sighting were received this evening. All emergency services responded to the scene. The rapid response of emergency services prevented the drones from detonating. There were no injuries. There were no explosions or fires. All businesses in the area are operating normally and have not stopped operations." — authorities noted.
The drone alert came from local residents, who had previously posted videos on social media of fire trucks driving toward the Antipinsky Oil Refinery. Residents also reported hearing two explosions, but the Ministry of Emergency Situations denied there was a fire at the refinery.
Emergency services quickly contained the situation, eliminating the threat to infrastructure and the population. Details about the origin of the devices and their purpose have not yet been released, but the incident did not affect the operation of industrial facilities in the area.
