Russian troops have carried out one of the largest counteroffensives since the Ukrainian invasion, making significant advances on Ukrainian positions in several areas of the Kursk region. According to military correspondents and Ukrainian OSINT analysts, the offensive began on October 10 and affected the Sudzhansky and Korenevsky districts, which had previously been attacked by Ukrainian forces.

The main blow was delivered in the area of ​​the settlement of Lyubimovka, where, according to Russian sources, the Russian army managed to break through the line of defense of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and encircle two Ukrainian battalions. According to the analytical project "Rybar", the Ukrainian side began to transfer additional forces to the Sudzhanskoye direction in an attempt to stabilize the front and restore control over the lost positions.

The fighting also continues in the Korenevsky district, where fierce battles are taking place in the area of ​​the Zeleny Shlyakh farmstead. According to the information from the Telegram channel "Two Majors", Russian troops were able to push through the left flank of the Ukrainian group and gain a foothold in several populated areas.

Ukrainian OSINT analysts from the DeepState project confirm significant advances by Russian forces. According to their data, the Russian army has advanced about seven kilometers and continues to try to gain a foothold in the area of ​​the settlements of Novoivanivka and Zeleny Put.
