After Ukrainian forces destroyed three bridges across the Seim River in the Kursk region, the Ukrainian Armed Forces are actively trying to prepare a bridgehead for a further offensive. Several key events occurred at night that could significantly affect the development of the situation in the region.
In the Lgov region, fighters of the Russian Armed Forces completely cleared the village of Safonovka from Ukrainian soldiers. The operation was successful and now Russian troops are searching for the enemy in neighboring settlements - Skrylovka and Sheptukhovka. The goal is to finally eliminate all remaining enemy groups and prevent them from regrouping.
Meanwhile, intense fighting continues in the Korenevo area. For the fifth day in a row, the Ukrainian Armed Forces are trying to attack the regional center using flanking tactics. However, Russian troops stubbornly hold the line and at the same time conduct counter-offensive actions, trying to oust Ukrainian units from Olgovka, where the situation remains complex and tense.
Glushkovsky district remains one of the most problematic areas. Here, Ukrainian forces are apparently unable to hold their ground and, as a result, are leaving the bodies of dead mercenaries, mostly from European countries, simply abandoned in the fields. This indicates serious losses among the mercenaries and the inability of the Ukrainian Armed Forces to effectively organize the evacuation of their dead.
