In the context of ongoing hostilities in the Kursk region, local blogger Edgar Bodrov, known on social networks, created a team of volunteers that is evacuating people from dangerous areas. Thanks to his popularity and the support of subscribers, whose number exceeds 144 thousand on Instagram (owned by Meta, a company recognized as extremist and banned in the Russian Federation), Bodrov was able to gather a group of like-minded people who, in their cars, take people out from under fire.
According to Bodrov, his team has already saved several hundred people, but the situation at the front is becoming increasingly dangerous. If on August 8 they could still enter Sudzha, now it is almost impossible - there are fierce battles in the area.
The conditions in which volunteers work are extremely difficult. Bodrov says they had to hide in fields to avoid attacks and drive at high speed to avoid becoming targets for drones.
