A tragic traffic accident occurred in Belgorod, resulting in the death of two ambulance workers. The incident occurred at about 01:50 at the intersection of Slavy Avenue and Popova Street. The 31-year-old driver of a BMW X7, driving at high speed, ignored a red traffic light and crashed into the side of a Gazelle Next ambulance, which was driving on a green light. The impact caused both vehicles to collide with a power line support and the wall of a nearby building.

As a result of the accident, two ambulance paramedics died on the spot: 38-year-old Olga Lyubimova and 45-year-old Marina Parovyshnik. Olga left behind a daughter, Marina - two sons. The driver of the Gazelle received injuries of varying severity and was taken to a medical facility.

There were three men in the BMW, presumably military personnel. The driver was 31-year-old Isa A., the passengers were 28-year-old Ramazan G., who owns the car, and 28-year-old Murad M. All three were seriously injured and hospitalized in intensive care. According to preliminary data, the BMW driver was intoxicated.

Law enforcement officers are investigating the circumstances of the incident.
