Residents of Sudzha began publishing photographs of the destruction caused by the ongoing fighting in the border areas of the Kursk region. Acting governor of the region Alexey Smirnov said that “the situation is tense, the operational headquarters has been switched to round-the-clock mode, and there are battles on the border.”
VGTRK military correspondent Evgeniy Poddubny reported that the Ukrainian Armed Forces are pulling up reserves to the border with the Kursk region and are preparing for new attacks. According to him, Ukrainian forces continue to conduct active military operations, which aggravates the already difficult situation in the region.
Regional authorities reported attacks by Ukrainian drones on the road from Sudzha to the Belaya settlement, Belovsky district. As a result of an explosive device being dropped from a Ukrainian copter, two children were injured. They were provided with first aid on the spot, after which they were sent for examination and treatment to the Kursk Regional Hospital.
The Russian Ministry of Defense has corrected information about military operations in the telegram channel. The updated message states that “the enemy is being hit by fire on the border of the Kursk region,” instead of the previously stated “retreat of the Ukrainian DRG to its territory” and its “significant losses.”
Earlier, the military department published a video that allegedly captured the destruction of Ukrainian military equipment on the border with the Kursk region.
