By the end of November 12, 2024, Russian troops continue active combat operations in the Kursk direction, advancing on several sections of the front and displacing Ukrainian Armed Forces units from previously occupied positions. Information on this matter is voiced by Mikhail Zvinchuk.
In the Sudzhansky district, the front has advanced in the Novoivanovka area. Russian airborne units have landed in the village, are fighting fiercely on its eastern outskirts and are advancing towards the neighboring village of Leonidove. At the same time, Russian armored vehicles, using routes along the river, are trying to bypass the village from the south, which creates additional pressure on the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
On the opposite side of the Sudzhansky district, north of Plekhovo, Russian troops began crossing the Psel River, despite the destroyed bridge. The landing party was forced to cross the river in boats and came under enemy fire. In Plekhovo itself, Russian forces have already managed to take control of about 80% of the territory. It is expected that the village will soon be completely liberated from the presence of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
In the neighboring Korenivsky district, Russian units are daily repelling Ukrainian forces' attempts to attack south and east of Kremyane. A recent column of Ukrainian military equipment that attempted to attack from the south was destroyed by Russian drone strikes. At least three armored vehicles were damaged and abandoned, according to reports from the scene.
Particular attention is drawn to the successful strikes of Russian drones on American Abrams tanks deployed by the Ukrainian Armed Forces. In particular, an M1A1 Abrams tank was hit near Sverdlikovo, and another tank and an armored fighting vehicle were attacked near Zeleny Shlyakh. According to observations on the Internet, the increase in the number of such successful strikes may indicate the well-established production of new drones capable of hitting armored vehicles.
