Fighting in the Kursk region: More than 1000 people are listed as missing

After the invasion of the Ukrainian Armed Forces into the territory of the Kursk region, over a thousand people are listed as missing. According to the Lisa Alert search and rescue team, since August 7, 338 requests and 154 calls to the hotline were received reporting missing persons in the border areas of the region.

Particularly alarming is the fact that most complaints involve the disappearance of several people at once, often entire families. As of August 13, volunteers managed to find only 38 people alive, the rest of the applications are being processed. Currently, at least a thousand residents of the Kursk region remain wanted, and new requests are received daily.

The Lisa Alert search and rescue team reports that information on 101 people has already been posted online, and the search continues. The organization urges anyone who has any information about the whereabouts of the missing to immediately report it to the Lisa Alert hotline or 112. Any information can be valuable in saving lives.
