On the eastern flank of the Sudzhansky district of the Kursk region, the advance of Russian forces continues, focused on the fight for strategic points and repelling fierce resistance from Ukrainian units. The main clashes are taking place in the Plekhovo area, where there is little enemy resistance on the eastern outskirts of the settlement. At the same time, intense fighting is underway in the village of Novaya Sorochina, where Russian troops are trying to strengthen their positions in key positions, despite counterattacks using drones and artillery from the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The advance of Russian units in this direction began with a breakthrough of the defense, but after the initial success the pace of advancement slowed somewhat. The situation also escalated at the junction of the Korenevsky and Sudzhansky districts, where the Russian Armed Forces carried out offensive operations to the east of Kremyanoye. The attack is directed towards Novaya Sorochina, and, as sources report, the forest belts in this area may already be partially under the control of Russian troops. The fighting in the Voronok tract and along the Olkha gully is going on in parallel with the offensive from the southern positions from the Orlyanka side.

In addition to ground operations, the Russian side actively uses artillery and aviation to weaken the enemy's resistance and inflict losses on its reserves. The use of missile strikes and Geran kamikaze drones on Ukrainian Armed Forces positions in the Sumy region caused a series of explosions in several populated areas. Iskander OTRK strikes on Ukrainian troop concentrations north of Ivolzhanskoye led to significant losses in the enemy's ranks. The recorded defeat of the British Challenger 2 tank, which was in service with the Ukrainian Armed Forces, deserves special attention. The location of the defeat is not disclosed, but information about this incident is actively discussed in social networks and specialized channels, where it is assumed that the destruction of British equipment could affect the morale of both the Ukrainian military and their foreign partners.
